Welcome to Accessible Gloucestershire, a disability access auditing consultancy run by Christian Drewitt – a lifelong wheelchair user.
Not only are we completing audits of venues and buildings around Gloucestershire – we have now taken our work to the streets as well!
We have completed projects in 8 towns all over Gloucestershire. These look at the accessibility of the streets, focusing on areas such as pavement quality, pedestrian crossings, dropped kerbs and public toilets. These have been commissioned by individual councils and are used to support funding bids for improvements! All of our reports are in accordance with BS8300 and they have all received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
We are always looking for more towns to visit to ensure that disabled people are not left behind following the pandemic and can enjoy our towns in all their glory.
If you know a council that may be interested in working with us on this then please let us know!
Please contact us using the contact tab above to discuss how we can help your business or local council to ensure that disabled people are included in the ‘new normal’.

Comprising of over 120 reports, this Disability Access Guide has been designed to give disabled individuals a true reflection of how accessible places around Gloucestershire really are. You can browse the reports using the menu tab above.
Accessible Gloucestershire was set up by Christian Drewitt. Christian has cerebral palsy, he uses a wheelchair to get around and has a severe sight impairment. Christian’s past experiences are the backbone of Accessible Gloucestershire and the Access Glos team are passionate about inclusivity and dream of a fully accessible world, starting with Christian’s home county of Gloucestershire.
Want your business featured on our website?
There is nowhere we won’t visit! Our audits include detailed advice and recommendations in accordance with BS8300 and The Equality Act 2010. These recommendations can be implemented at your discretion and are for your information only. The reports are posted here to encourage the disabled community to visit your venue, whether that be for leisure or as a future employee, and to give disabled visitors a true reflection of how accessible a venue really is, so they can plan their visits with confidence.
Contact us now using the contact tab above for a free quote and showcase where you are excelling in accessibility.
